Australian Stories

This photographic series critiques Australian colonial narratives by exploring the complex and contested relationships between land, myth, and national identity. Through miniature diorama building and photography, the work reimagines and retells forgotten or misrepresented stories from Australian history, such as the Battle of Broken Hill, the Honeysuckle Creek moon landing transmission, and the history of the Murray River. By combining historical reflection and irony, the project challenges cultural identity and settler histories, offering a fresh perspective on how these narratives shape the land and our understanding of place in contemporary Australia.
