“Solar Studies” reflects on the emotional states experienced during pandemic-induced quarantines and lockdowns, exploring themes of isolation and the passage of time. Initially shared as a weekly series on social media, the work evolved into a typology of images combined into a single large print, representing a unified emotional journey. The project captures the changing emotional landscape during restricted movement and was exhibited in 2022 to mark the end of lockdowns. It also acknowledges 100 years since Alfred Stieglitz’s iconic series Equivalence, connecting the emotional and photographic history of the two works.
